You can keep the study funds when you are ill, even though you are not studying at the time. Report illness to the insurance fund.

Personal injury insurance

All students and doctoral students at Umeå University are insured for personal injury through Kammarkollegiet. The insurance is valid in Sweden. It applies during school hours and direct travel between home and the place where school time is spent.

You can receive up to SEK 1,100 in housing allowance if you are under 29 or have children. Calculate your preliminary housing allowance at the insurance fund.
